An exciting new venture March 20th-22nd 2026 will feature my latest composition, Hidden, on the Friday evening played by the excellent chamber ensemble, Gemini, who are London-based but have performed in many countries over decades. The three concerts offer the stimulus of the new alongside the familiarity of more established music. There is music by eight living composers such as Nicola LeFanu, Dave Smith and John Woolrich, also a string trio by Moeran from the early twentieth century who went to school in Cromer. There will also be two workshops including one for saxophonists of at least Grade V or equivalent standard. For full details and bookings go to www.sheringhamlittletheatre.com

People SCATtered
A project begun in the winter of 2021/22 whilst some lockdown conditions remained in place. Long term collaborator, Meg Amsden, and I were sitting outside the Forum in Norwich watching people passing in the square below and I came up with the idea of making a piece about what we were watching with imagined meetings and unexpected juxtapositions. My soundscape uses mostly my voice transformed within a sound programme and Meg’s figures are somewhere between shadow puppets and animation modes. Lighting/animation by LED-torch.
The Journey of Psyche

Longstanding collaborator, Meg Amsden, is installing a series of small pieces illustrating the classical story of Psyche and Cupid at Raveningham Sculpture Trail which runs from Sat 30th July – Sun 4th Sept.

This will be inspired by, and in some cases repurpose animation models from her film “Psyche! Open The Box! for which Jane composed and recorded the music. Jane has remixed elements of this music especially for the Raveningham 2022 sculpture trail. The c.8 mins track will be played alongside Meg’s exhibits.
